Survey Ninja was born out of frustration with the gap between what researchers need — genuine, exploratory conversations — and what traditional survey tools deliver: rigid click-through forms with predictable, shallow responses.

Our mission is to make qualitative research accessible to every team — not just enterprises with large research budgets and dedicated UX researchers. We believe every product decision, marketing campaign, and strategic pivot should be grounded in real human insight.

Survey Ninja bridges the gap between expensive, time-consuming in-person interviews and the blunt instrument of a 10-question survey. Our AI interviewer conducts thoughtful, adaptive conversations at scale — so you get the depth of a qualitative study with the reach of a quantitative one.

The problem with surveys

Completion rates are terrible

The industry average survey completion rate hovers around 20–30%. Respondents open the survey, hit a wall of fixed questions, and abandon. You're left with a biased sample and missing data.

Answers are shallow and literal

When you give respondents a 1–5 scale, that's all you get — a number. The real insight lives in the story behind the number. Traditional surveys can't ask 'why?' because they're static documents.

Interesting threads go unexplored

Sometimes a respondent mentions something unexpected and fascinating. A static survey moves straight to the next question. A skilled interviewer would stop and probe. Survey Ninja does exactly that.

How Survey Ninja works

When you create a survey on Survey Ninja, you start by defining your research objectives in plain language. You tell us who you want to talk to, what you want to learn, and any specific topics you want covered. Our AI uses this to construct a flexible interview guide — not a rigid list of questions, but a set of themes and objectives it will explore conversationally.

Respondents receive a link and engage in a natural back-and-forth conversation with the AI interviewer. It opens with a friendly introduction, asks open-ended questions to explore your themes, follows up on interesting answers, asks clarifying questions when responses are vague, and wraps up gracefully when the objectives have been covered.

When your survey closes, you receive a structured analysis: a thematic summary across all interviews, sentiment trends, notable quotes, and raw transcripts. Everything is exportable for use in reports, presentations, and further analysis.
